SongStarter features an intuitive loop recorder that captures from the built-in instruments or external audio devices quickly.
You can instantly record a loop that's 4, 8, 16, or 32 beats long and overdub on top of it to build up harmonies. When you're happy with it, one click on the Copy button throws the loop on a stack called an Idea.
Building the heart of a song is simple with SongStarter. Just record a couple bars of playing, and then jam along with it to record more loops and layer them up.
After you've got a good jam going, you can drag and drop your melody from SongStarter into your favorite DAW, so you can produce it with the workflow you've already mastered.
SongStarter comes with a built-in selection of charming instruments and drum beats to get your jam started as quickly as possible. With almost no setup required, SongStarter removes all barriers from songwriting, and lets you focus on writing a great melody.
A range of simple sounds are covered by the built-in instruments. The Jam Essentials collection consists of imperfect sampled instruments with character, like the Dusty Piano. SongStarter comes with the SodaSynth engine built-in and a handful of presets for classic, pristine synth sounds. A hand-picked selection of our Analog Extracts samples rounds out the collection with some quirky synth sounds from a legendary analog modular synthesizer.
